In today's economy it's critical to get the most you can for your spending dollar. So there's no reason to over pay for Cast Recording when there are a lot of of them for sale on eBay. Years ago, I heard a cast recording (not Carole King) of "Really Rosie"; how to get a copy of the soundtrack?
I remember it being a NYC production, probably Off-Broadway, starring teenagers. I loved borrowing the audio cassette from the library and would love to find a copy of it. Help!
The original soundtrack was issued by Caedmon Records, who used to be a major seller of recorded books and small musicals on tape. They got bought by the big publisher HarperCollins, and some of their older recordings are still in print (mostly classics), but "Really Rosie" unfortunately isn't. Hate to say it, but you might have to hunt around on eBay if you want to buy it. Also, if you just want to borrow it to have a listen, go to your library and have them do an interlibrary search--a quick spin through that shows that it's still in several libraries in the US. Your library might be able to borrow it through interlibrary loan for a few weeks, so you could have a listen. Good luck!
