How long will my helix piercing take to heal?
I got it done yesterday with a needle in a sterile environment by a reputable piercer, with a titanium bar.
I intend to clean it with salt water in the morning and piercing solution every night.
I hear that titanium reduces healing time drastically.
I also take zinc supplements which I've heard speeds up healing.
How long do you suppose it will take?
following the care you listed you should expect a healing time of 3-5 months because it is a cartilage piercing.
if you get one of those little zit-like infections.. make sure to pop it and drain it right away.. use triple antibiotic creme on the piercing for a day of two after to clear the spot.. these are common.. ive had them on my industrial piercing and so have many of my friends.. the piercer said to just take a needle and alcohol or to come in and he'd lance it.. it was easier to do it myself..
