What constructive way do you practice to get rid of the tension at work?
If a negative person disturbs you at work (it could be your boss, your colleague or someone else), what constructive way do you practice to get rid of the tension? Do you talk directly to that annoying person? do you talk to someone else about it? do you write a blog? do you practice a sport imagining you hit that annoying person right in the face? or what else do you do?
OK. I work in insurance claims..maybe the most annoying environment ever.
To Deal with:
colleagues: I make an excuse to get back to work. I ignore their negative comments . On extra special days, I am sarcastic (they normally don't catch it). I also use my "brain world". It is funny but works. I go to a place that I prefer in my mind. There I am able to relax. You may have to go outside or restroom and lock the door to make this work.
Boss: UGHH!! I have 7. 1 I love. 3 are ok. 1 i never see only e-mails (his office is close my desk) 1 is perfect and the greasted help. The last..annoys the crap out of me.
I deal with trying to avoid her at all costs. I make it seem that I am on an important call when I see her trailing toward. If i do have to deal with her I practice "square breathing". google it. It helps. Also as mentioned prayer works good for me.
Never talk to others in the office about anyone else. It spreads office gossip. If you must talk, pick someone who is outside the office avoiding overkill with friends. Go to a park, bar..etc find a stranger and unleash. Be careful with weirdos ..lol Good luck!
