I'm one class away from a Bachelors Degree. Should I apply to places that are offering full-time positions?
I'm taking the class and it's on a Monday. So I would have to either take that day off or be allowed to leave early. Will I be able to get a firm to honor my education up to this point? I want to work full-time somewhere because Monday afternoon is the only time I need off of work.
It would be highly unusual for them to want to, or to be able to, give you Monday afternoons off. That really isn't normally done, and to ask when you're just out of college and so new would be bad form. Instead, what might be best would be to focus on finding a job where the shift normally doesn't include Monday afternoons - maybe the shift is 7am-3pm, or they are closed on Mondays. That, or something part-time, where the hours are a bit more flexible.
Another alternative is to take two classes, so you're considered part-time, and then spend the rest of your time doing an internship/co-op that is applicable to your future career.
