I wrote this for class, the assignment was to focus on the sounds used in the poem. I intentionally went overboard with that assignment. Do you think it works though? Any advice? Please. I either need approval or tips.

pretty nonsense words
and nothing more
A chocolate harbor, awash with wax and
Chapters of cake and dreary charts
Exits leopards, I sigh, I wish
Lacerate, cremation? A moist cushion.
Photographs, polaroids
Collapsing charades and suspicion
Gentle, craving
Paint
sorrounding a park bench
Pout, waist, cranes
Bodice:
Please, question, grocery shop!
These are only sounds
Felt on the tongue, in the throat, the lips. but
Words will always have meaning
Our minds cannot bear to forfeit
Palm trees, surgery, a bracelet
Shattered lace in pink and cream
Cassettes, postage stamps,
Final notice
Nonsense does not exist
It doesn't work for me. It seems to go all over the place. I'm not seeing any sense to it. I'm sorry I don't have any tips for you except that it may be too long...too many words. Keep writing.
