How come most female country singers are blond?
I just noticed that after listening to Sara Evans. How come there aren't many brunette country artists besides Patsy Cline, but there's a boat-load of blond country singers. Is it because blond girls have more of that country, southern look?
Because most of the female "Country" singers today (and I say Country in name only) are mostly all peroxide blondes and their hair color is as artificial as their auto tuned voices (even that doesn't make em sound good in my opinion).
The real female Country giants (for the most part) weren't blondes.

Dottie West
Exceptions being Jean Shepard, Goldie Hill, Skeeter Davis, (obviously) Dolly Parton, & Tammy Lynette. None of these were as popular as Patsy or Loretta though.
Actually (besides Dolly Parton and the Dixie Chicks), now That You mention it, I can't think of any great female singer (in any genre) that was blonde.
Oh forgot one, Martina McBride's pretty good, and she isn't blonde
