Sony Handycam from color to black and white?
I have a sony Handycam that uses the micro cassette tape. In the handycam, when i play back what i've recorded its in COLOR, but when i play it on the television, it would be black and white.
I've checked all of the wires (red, white, yellow..etc) they're not loose...what happened?
How can i change it back to colored?
Well we know you recorded in color, because it's playing back in color, so you are safe on that end.
The problem then is either in cord or the TV it is playing on.
If the cord is bad, then most of the time you should get a messed up signal and not a loss of color.
So I'm guessing the inputs on the TV are messed up. Try hooking up another device to the same input, like a DVD player and see if a movie plays in black and white (Make sure you don't test it with a movie that's in black and white, like Sin City). If it comes out black and white, then that input is bad on the TV.
If it comes out in color, then the problem may be the cord and where it connects on the camera. There may be a bent pin somewhere on the cord connecting to the handycam.
Try the handycam on another TV. If it shows black and white, then it's the connection from the camera to the cord. It may be bad. If you have a warranty take it back. If not, then dump the video to your computer, edit it and then dump it out to DVD, where it will play in color.
